Happy Easter to you!

Emmylou had a great day, spending almost every moment eating mass quantities of candy.

First, she found the treats the Easter Bunny left her...

and hung out with Grammie...

Later, she headed outside to find some eggs...

She also enjoyed trying to fit an entire chocolate bunny into her mouth at once...

and didn't cooperate much when we tried to get a family picture...

Note: Please excuse the poor lighting, motion blur and lens flare (is that even what it's called?)-- I'm still such an amateur with my camera!

I'm glad to see candy in Emmylou's basket. It gives me hope that the entire planet has not gone crazy.

The majority of our friends didn't give their kids candy for Easter. I know, what? They attempted to talk to me about this, but I couldn't even respond.

Bethany,
If I hadn't put candy in Emmylou's basket and she found out years later that Easter is all about the candy (which it is), I'm afraid she might kill me in my sleep. That's how much she loves candy.

And we are already back to our normal routine of sandwiches on high-fiber bread made with all-natural, organic peanut butter and low-sugar, high fructose corn syrup-free jelly, etc., etc., so how can a little candy really hurt every once in a while?!

BTW, I also remembered another food Emmylou ate a lot around V's age: bean and cheese (soft) tacos. You might want to try those with her, she loved them.

Alison, Ann and Alex,
Thanks for the compliments! And thanks for leaving comments so often, we love reading them!
