If this blog came with sound effects, you'd hear me letting out a huge sigh of relief now that Emmylou has successfully completed her flower girl duties at our friend Taylor's wedding last night. Her only issue was not putting her hands down from in front of her face during the group portraits (sorry, Taylor) but considering she's only 2 years old, what can you really expect?! With no meltdowns or running in the opposite direction when it was time to make her way down the aisle, I was super happy with her performance.

Amelia and Emmylou-- so cute, dontcha think?!

I was even okay with the bow in her hair and the giant flower on the back of her dress. Normally I'd be breaking out in hives with Emmylou wearing such frou-frou things:

With Daddy and their grandma's:

The best part of the entire wedding? Cake, of course!

Here's one thing Taylor gave Emmylou for being in the wedding. Can you say 'excited?'

And here's what Emmylou did to herself 3 hours before the wedding while we were watching the end of the Texas vs. OU game and weren't paying attention to her:

I don't think I've ever heard so much horror in my mother's voice as when we turned around and discovered what she'd done. Luckily the marker came off easily and a disaster was narrowly avoided...

What great pics! I love the pic of both of them about to enter (I'm guessing), standing in profile--precious! And too funny about the marker! I'm glad it came off and glad it all went so well. Reese is going to be a FG in April, maybe you can give me some pointers. :)

Emmylou you looked fantastic in your flower girl dress.
I had to laugh about the marker all over her face three hours before the wedding.
No doubt I would have been like your mum...............

It must be something about the kids in our family being in weddings. If you remember Zach had stitches and a black eye when he was the ring bearer for Bill's wedding. And he DID run down the aisle the wrong way once he got half way down.

Emmy looks so cute in her sassy dress, flowers, bows and all.

luv ya'll,
Amy

Oh, my goodness...I didn't notice that!!! I was too busy freaking out about the table! Glad you managed to get it off.

Craig did the same thing the night before our wedding. He couldn't get a can of spray paint to spray and when he was messing around with it it sprayed ALL over his face!

Amy, I had totally forgotten about that! Classic. Give the boys hugs for us!

Alison, that is hilarious! I never noticed a thing in the photos so he must've been scrubbing for hours. :)
